What OpenJevX is

OpenJevX is an open, local decision model server. 1 It answers yes/no, pick-one and rating decisions on your own machine. 1 The pinned server release is 0.5.9 ("version": "0.5.9" in package.json). 2 It ships model 0.5.2. 3

The three question types

Every question goes to POST /v1/systemone with a state and named questions. 4

type asks read the answer from
noul yes/no noul, the probability of yes 5
choice pick one choice and confidence 6 7
score rating score (expected level, 0 = first) and probabilities 8

A question with any other type fails with unknown type. 9 A question needs at least two options. 10

How it runs

The server is a Go binary with ONNX Runtime beside it. 11 The image builds against ONNX Runtime 1.29.0. 12 The binary holds no model. 13 A model is a folder, shipped in a release as openjevx-model-<version>.tar.gz. 13 "model" in openjevx.json names a folder. 14 The default port is 21118. 15 In code, the default listen address is 127.0.0.1:21118. 16

Warning: /v1/systemone checks an API key by default whenever the server listens beyond loopback; on 127.0.0.1, ::1 and localhost it is off unless one is set, and a key that is set is checked there too. 17 18 The deploy images still open only SSH in the firewall; the customer opens port 21118 to their own network or uses an SSH tunnel. 19

Licence

The licence file is the Apache License, Version 2.0. 20 The model card that publish_hf.py writes when it publishes the checkpoint and ONNX graph also says license: apache-2.0. 21 22

What it is not

It is not a general reasoner. 23 On public reasoning benchmarks it is mostly unsure, confident on 11% of questions. 23 It serves OpenJevX models. 24 A model is a folder: the graph openjevx.w8.onnx, a config.json and an optional tokenizer.json. 25 26 A bare OpenJevX .onnx graph also loads, with default calibration (decide.Defaults()). 27 28 It is not a general ONNX runtime for arbitrary models. 24 A model folder with no config.json fails to load with missing config.json. 29 30 For old models, "model" can name a bare .onnx file, which gets the old built-in settings. 14
